Two University of Ottawa Heart Institute researchers Dr. Ruth McPherson and Dr. George Wells have made Clarivate Analytics 2018 list of most cited researchers in the world. The Highly Cited Researchers list identifies scientists and social scientists who have demonstrated significant influence through publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade.
Approximately 6,000 researchers are named Highly Cited Researchers in the 2018 listing, selected from a pool of an estimated 8 million. Papers surveyed were published between 2006-2016 and ranked in the top 1% by citations for their essential science indicators field and year.
