The Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) is awarding Rob Beanlands, MD, of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) with its top honour for outstanding career achievement, and the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Alliance (CWHHA) for significant contributions to prevention of cardiovascular disease and promotion of heart health in Canadians.
At a ceremony held during the Canadian Cardiovascular Congress, October 26 to 30 in Ottawa, the CCS will present Dr. Beanlands with its Achievement Award, and Thais Coutinho, MD, chair of the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre, will accept the Harold N. Segall Award on behalf of the CWHHA.
