It’s March 2021: The Heart Institute’s Division of Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation releases the first episodes of a new health and wellness podcast. Hosted by Dr. Bob Reid, The Heartwise Podcast promises listeners practical and pragmatic advice to help them live healthier and happier lives.

On an episode of The Heartwise Podcast (recorded May 5), Dr. Peter Liu emphasizes the importance of getting vaccinated, saying “Getting vaccinated as soon as possible is our best strategy, and we need to do this on a population level.”
COVID-19 variants are changing the pandemic landscape in Canada
Back in April, the pandemic’s third wave hit record highs in case numbers, hospitalizations and ICU admissions. Dr. Peter Liu, the Heart Institute’s 2020 recipient of the Global Achievement Award, helped us better understand the cardiovascular implications of COVID-19.
