A high-impact paper co-authored by Benjamin Rotstein, PhD, of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and Ryland J. Lundgren of the University of Alberta, is published in Nature Chemistry, a monthly journal dedicated to publishing high-quality papers that describe the most significant and cutting-edge research in all areas of chemistry.
In their paper, Dr. Rotstein et al report a novel, innovative technique that can be readily used for carbon-labelling of amino acids, a key step in drug development and for investigating biochemical processes with PET imaging.
Read: Aldehyde-catalysed carboxylate exchange in α-amino acids with isotopically labelled CO2.
