April 10, 2019, OTTAWA – The University of Ottawa Heart Institute is pleased to bring the 22nd Annual Toronto Ottawa Heart Summit (TOHS) and the 7th International Ottawa Heart Conference (IOHC) to Ottawa this weekend, to be presented jointly under one roof at the National Arts Centre from April 12-13.
This year’s two-day program will gather delegates from all over the world together to learn about the exciting advances in the management of cardiovascular disease and the applications of big data and artificial intelligence in health. The TOHS will take place on April 12 and 13, and the IOHC on April 13.
“We have invited globally recognized, impactful scientists to attend this weekend’s events, to share their expertise and be available to interact with our UOHI and Ottawa-based scientists, investigators, trainees, and with members of the media,” said Dr. Thierry Mesana, the Heart Institute’s president and chief executive officer. A number of Ottawa Heart Institute faculty will also be presenting this weekend, including Drs. David Messika-Zeitoun, Derek So, Heather Tulloch, Peter Liu, Ruth McPherson, and Sharon Chih.
Each year, both the TOHS and the IOHC draw the world’s best in cardiovascular science to network and exchange novel ideas and information to shape the future of cardiovascular care.
