Heart disease is the number one killer of women in Canada, yet women are often understudied, undertreated, and underdiagnosed.
The Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre (CWHHC) at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) is calling on all Canadians to wear red on Thursday, February 13 in observation of Wear Red Canada, a national awareness initiative designed to promote women’s heart health.
Special presentations and interactive activities will be held at the UOHI throughout the day. A schedule of events is available online.
