Today, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) named Diana Burns its vice president of finance and administration and chief financial officer. The successor to Suzanne Dionne, Diana Burns will also oversee the Ottawa Heart Institute Research Corporation and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation.
Diana Burns has over 15 years of progressive financial management and leadership experience in both the private and public sector. She has served as the director of financial services at Queensway Carleton Hospital where she was responsible for working with Ontario Health and other key stakeholders on operational planning and reporting, leading external audits, and providing support to the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation. Diana Burns has also worked with KPMG LLP in Canada and Australia.
