The University of Ottawa Heart Institute and its regional partners present the 2nd Annual Ottawa Heart Research Conference: Personalized Cardiovascular Medicine.
This one day accredited scientific conference in downtown Ottawa will feature the latest in personalized medicine research with a focus on cardiovascular disease. Honouring the lifetime contribution of retiring scientist and Heart Institute CEO, Dr. Robert Roberts, the event will feature presentations by scientists from across North America, discussing the latest 'omics discoveries and how these will advance the individualized approach to risk assessment and clinical care.
This event is partnered with the 4th Annual Canadian Cardiac Oncology Network conference and will address common interests and strategies relevant to personalized medicine in both fields.

This annual conference in Ottawa is hosted in conjunction with the Heart Institute’s annual Research Day, to be held on May 9, 2014 on the UOHI campus. All conference attendees are invited to attend at no additional cost.

Accreditation:
The University of Ottawa’s Office of Continuing Medical Education is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME) to provide accredited CME activities for family physicians and specialists. This program meets the accreditation criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been accredited for up to 6.5 Mainpro M-1 credits. This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for 6 credits. This program also meets the accreditation criteria for a maximum of 6.5 Category 1 credits toward the American Medical Association Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
