The University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Bernard McDonald as the new Head of its Cardiac Anesthesiology Division. Appointed for a five-year mandate, Dr. McDonald will succeed Dr. Stéphane Lambert.
A member of the Heart Institute’s Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology since 2002, Dr. McDonald obtained his MD and a PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Following a residency in anesthesia at the University of Ottawa, he completed a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Fellowship (FRCPC) in Anesthesiology, and subsequently in Critical Care.
