The Heart Institute is unique in providing a training program where diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, and research all fall within a single setting. This comprehensive approach benefits our patients and all those who come here to learn about heart disease.
Training requirements in cardiac surgery and cardiology follow an established curriculum with structured programs that encompass elective rotations, clinical experience and research. Cardiac Anesthesiology offers a one (or two) year post-specialty Fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesiology, which provides training in Adult Cardiac Anesthesiology, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Surgical Critical Care.
