Le Dr Christopher Glover est cardiologue interventionniste et Directeur de laboratoire de cathétérisme cardiaque et des services cliniques de la Division de cardiologie de l’Institut de cardiologie de l’Université d’Ottawa. Il est en outre professeur agrégé au Département de médecine de l’Université d’Ottawa.

Parcours

Le Dr Glover a obtenu son diplôme de médecine de l’Université Queen’s, à Kingston (Ontario), où il a également effectué sa résidence en médecine interne. Il a ensuite fait une résidence en cardiologie à l’Institut de cardiologie et a poursuivi sa formation postdoctorale en cardiologie interventionnelle dans cet établissement.

Le Dr Glover siège à divers comités, dont le comité d’examen pour la cardiologie et le comité de spécialité en cardiologie du Collège royal des médecins et chirurgiens du Canada (FRCPC).

Il mène une étude clinique à titre de chercheur principal et agit comme collaborateur pour huit autres.

Intérêts cliniques et de recherche

Les intérêts du Dr Glover portent entre autres sur la cardiologie interventionnelle dans le traitement de l’infarctus aigu du myocarde, la thérapie à base de cellules souches dans les maladies du cœur, le traitement du syndrome coronarien aigu et l’ablation à l’éthanol dans la cardiomyopathie hypertrophique obstructive.
