Dr. Adam Dryden, MD, is a cardiac anesthesiologist at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
Background
Dr. Dryden did his anesthesiology training at the University of Alberta. He then completed a fellowship in Cardiac Anesthesiology at the Heart Institute from July 2015 to June 2016, during which time he was selected as the 2016 recipient of the Wilbert J. Keon Award for Trainee Excellence. Since the end of his fellowship, he has worked as a cardiac anesthesiologist at the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in Edmonton.
Dr. Dryden brings a keen interest in medical informatics and he is in the process of obtaining a Masters degree in Health Information Sciences.
Research and clinical interests
Beside his clinical duties in cardiac anesthesiology and perioperative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) at the Heart Institute, Dr. Dryden will manage the Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology’s Information Management System and will help facilitate perioperative database-related research. He will also play an important role in the Division's transition to the hospital-wide Clinical Information Management System.
