Ellamae Stadnick, MD, MSc, FRCPC is a staff cardiologist at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and assistant professor at the University of Ottawa.
Background
Dr. Stadnick completed her undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of Alberta and a Master of Science at the University of British Columbia (UBC) focused on the molecular pathogenesis of viral myocarditis. She completed her undergraduate medical training, and internal medicine and cardiology residencies at the University of British Columbia.
She furthered her post-graduate medical training at St. Paul’s Hospital (UBC) completing a fellowship in echocardiography. This was followed by a fellowship in advanced heart failure and transplantation at Stanford University.
Dr. Stadnick joined the Heart Institute in 2013.
Research and clinical interests
Dr. Stadnick’s clinical and research interests include medical education and the clinical management/imaging of advanced heart failure patients.
