Dr. Brock Wilson is a cardiac anesthesiologist, a critical care medicine specialist in the Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology, and medical director of the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He is also currently a lecturer in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Ottawa.
Background
Dr. Wilson earned his medical degree in 2010 at the University of British Columbia. He then completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Ottawa, obtaining his specialist certification in anesthesiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in 2015. He subsequently completed a two-year combined fellowship in critical care medicine and cardiac anesthesiology at the University of Ottawa.
Research and clinical interests
Dr. Wilson has a combined practice of cardiac anesthesiology and critical care medicine. He has an interest in the care of patients on extracorporeal life support, long-term outcomes post cardiac critical illness, and resident education.
